DISEASE

Shifting soil under new grass if not properly prepared can lead to an uneven surface resulting in high and low areas. Another cause is simply that the surface is worn more in one particular area: e.g. goal areas, footpaths, and tee-off areas.

Typical solutions:
low areas - top dress, sand.
high areas - hollow core, scarify.

SAND/LOAM SPREADING
Large hopper style sand spreaders pulled by our tractors means the work is done efficiently whilst maintaining an even spread.

TOPDRESSING
The moving floor of the machine enables the material to be put on to a rotary brush maintaining an even spread.

BRUSHES
We like to clean up after ourselves, so we use an assortment of manual and power brushes.

SCARIFYING
Scarifiers work just like a rake pulling the moss from your grass, our scarifiers rapidly clear all unwanted weeds and moss from between the grass blades. This can be done at the rate of 18 greens in a morning.

The standard blade thicknesses are 1.5 or 3.0mm. These blades can be placed in rows with a spacing of 20mm multiples. The narrower the spacing, the shallower you have to go, i.e. at a blade spacing of 20mm the maximum depth is 12mm and at a blade spacing of 40mm the maximum depth is 30mm.

HOLLOW CORING
Our hollow corers range in size but all work the same, removing a small core of earth which improves aeration, aids drainage and allows the grass to build its root system. Standard Hollow Core has 13 - 19mm tines with a working depth of 50 - 100mm, the small Hollow core has 6 - 13mm tines with a working depth 25 - 50mm.
